As of this morning 1/12 the section of I80 from Cheyenne to Rawlings is closed. I cant stress this enough at this time of the year to avoid Wyoming. The weather and wind conditions are so unpredictable making travel through there almost impossible. Please take the time to route plan for any loads heading west ie.. road condition, road closures and weather. If you have to reroute let dispatch know so they can work to get those extra miles covered.

This is the link I use to access Wyoming road conditions
Current road conditions for Wyoming 2/17/22
1/28/22 Wyoming I80 road condition update. From Cheyenne to Laramie is High Impact, meaning high winds, icy conditions and snow covered roads. The next section after that is just past Laramie in the Elk Mountain area. These weather and road conditions change very fast through here so I'd advice not traveling through and find another route.
1/26/22 Wyoming I80 road condition update. Laramie to Rawlings is closed
Wyoming road closures and update 1/25/22 All parts of I80 from state line of Nebraska to Utah are High impact, which means icy, snow covered roads and strong winds. Please route plan accordingly.
As of 1/13 at 15:30 I80 through Wyoming is open, but please use caution if you are going this way because there are still sections that are listed as Medium impact from Cheyenne to Rawlings. Also Friday through Sunday there is a major winter system going across the Midwest to the East Coat so please plan for delays. They are calling for Heavy Snow fall, ice, and Strong Winds.
Me and karen know i80 well that was our regular route from Utah to Kansas and we got stuck on it for over 30 hours when a massive pileup of over 20 cars and trucks so keep safe out there
